Basic pool cover roller

The Basic reel is the simple, dependable way to roll up a thermal blanket on a residential pool. Its 75 mm aluminium shaft extends from 4 to 5.50 m, and the 316 stainless steel frame copes with outdoor use and salt water systems. A single hand wheel does the work.

For covering up every day

If your blanket goes on and off most days, a reel turns the job into a few turns of a wheel. The cover winds onto the shaft rather than being dragged over the pool surround, so it stays in better shape through the season.

The Basic is made for residential pools between 4 and 5.50 m wide that use a solar bubble cover regularly.

Materials

The shaft is a 75 mm telescopic tube in anodised aluminium with a 20 micron anodised finish, and its sections are joined with metal pins for a firm structure. Supports and structural parts are AISI 316 stainless steel, which resists corrosion well.

That makes the reel a sound choice for outdoor pools and for pools running salt electrolysis, where materials need to stand up to damp and salt.

How it works at the poolside

A hand wheel turns the shaft. The reel stands on two inverted T supports: one fixed for a steady base, the other on wheels so you can move it aside when needed.

You need clear space at one end or side of the pool for the shaft and supports to turn freely. Check the full width of the pool as well: above 5.50 m, the Plus reel is the one to look at.

Checked before you order

The free space at the end of the pool matters as much as the width, so we check both in person. Leo Pools comes out with our installation partner, measures the pool and the room around it, and confirms the indicative price after measuring.

Our partner then fits the reel. The visit is photographed and logged with a timestamp in VisitPro, so owners who live abroad can see what was checked without being there.
