When the cover is part of the design

Some owners want a cover that protects the pool and then fades from view. The Lux is for the opposite case: villas where the pool end is on show from the terrace and the cover should add to it, not spoil it.

It sits outside the water on flat coping, so it suits new pools and existing ones being refurbished. Pools from 2 x 2 m up to 6 x 12 m are covered, including those with a staircase up to 1.5 m in radius.

Light, motor and control

The ambient light sits behind a translucent diffuser and adjusts in both colour and intensity: soft for dinner outside, brighter when you want the pool to stand out after dark.

A disengageable 24 V tubular motor with automatic limit switches does the work, and Slow Mode in the transformer box rolls and unrolls the slats gradually. Day to day you use your smartphone, while an emergency key switch built into one of the feet gives you local control if you ever need it.

Anti-lift straps hold the closed cover down, and an anti-slip system is available where the staircase base is narrower than half the pool width.

Finishes and slats

The structure pairs an aluminium shaft with two black powder-coated aluminium feet carrying the Qualicoat label, shaped to take up as little coping as possible. Beyond the plain black, the feet can be ordered in one of four decorative finishes: wood, wood effect, brushed aluminium effect or marble effect.

The 83 mm slats come in PVC (white, sand, blue, light grey) or solar polycarbonate (transparent, translucent black, translucent blue), and the fixing is designed to stay out of sight.
