The e-Solar is a raised automatic cover that charges itself from the sun, so there is no need to run a mains supply out to the pool. It is the practical answer when the pool sits far from the house, or when laying a cable would mean lifting paving you would rather keep.

On some plots the nearest socket is a long way from the pool, and getting power to the coping means cutting a channel through tiles or decking. The e-Solar avoids that: it is installed outside the water and runs from its own panel and batteries.
It works for new builds and for refurbishing existing pools from 2 x 2 m up to 6 x 12 m, including staircases up to 1.5 m in radius.
A high-performance photovoltaic panel charges two electronically regulated batteries, and a regulator manages the supply. The cover is designed to run all year on roughly 5 hours of sun a day, so the spot chosen for the panel should not sit in shade for most of the day.
The slats are moved by a disengageable 24 V tubular motor with automatic limit switches. You control it from a smartphone or with a three-position key switch at the pool.
Two support feet fix to the coping and carry the aluminium shaft. Their levelling is adjustable, and they come in white or sand. Slats are 83 mm PVC (white, sand, blue, light grey) or polycarbonate (transparent, translucent black, translucent blue).
Anti-lift straps lock the cover when it is closed, and an anti-slip option is available for staircases whose base is less than half the width of the pool.
