For refurbishments without electrical work

Adding a cover to an existing pool often stalls on one question: how do we get power out there. With the e-Playa Solar you skip it. The bench fixes to the coping outside the water, and the panel in its cladding charges the system.

It suits pools up to 6 x 12 m, provided the position gets good sun through the day.

Batteries, autonomy and warnings

A high-performance photovoltaic panel feeds two electronically regulated batteries. On a 4 x 8 m pool the manufacturer quotes up to 40 cycles with no sunlight at all, while still keeping enough charge to close the pool.

When the charge runs low, an audible warning sounds and one last full opening or closing cycle is held in reserve. For the best results the bench needs good daily exposure to the sun.

Bench, motor and slats

The bench is a white aluminium frame clad in white PVC, or wood-effect PVC as an option, with a removable top for inspection and maintenance. Inside, a 24 V tubular motor with automatic limit switches drives the slats.

You operate it with a key switch on the structure, and Bluetooth smartphone control can be added while keeping the key.

Slats are 83 mm PVC (white, sand, blue, light grey, dark grey) or solar polycarbonate (transparent, translucent black, translucent blue, and double-layer transparent, silver or blue). Anti-lift straps lock the cover, with an anti-slip option for staircases narrower than half the pool width.
