A cover that becomes terrace

Most covers are something you work around. The Vega Slide 2.0 is a surface you use: once it is closed you can stand and walk on it, so the pool area turns into extra terrace when nobody is swimming.

It suits families with young children or pets, and anyone short on outdoor space who would rather not give up a large part of the garden during the months the pool is not in use.

What it is built from

Each platform is made from duralumin in high-strength alloys such as 6005 T6, chosen for a high elastic limit. The perimeter frame uses double stainless steel brackets, and every structural joint is fixed with stainless steel of at least AISI 304 grade. The walking surface is synthetic decking laid over high-strength aluminium.

The cover is engineered for static loads of up to 150 kg/m². The flat platform stands 165 mm high as standard, or 300 mm at the top in the telescopic version, and the rail stays low at 15 mm.

Opening it and keeping it safe

The platform opens by hand, moving across the width of the pool, and comes with a helper pole so you can open and close it without bending down. If the space to store it is tight, Cupoola can build it asymmetrically to suit.

It is designed to meet NF P 90-308, the standard that covers both the strength of the platform and the security of the pool while it is closed. Gaps are sized so small fingers cannot get trapped, and a double-action system stops a child under five from operating it alone.

Finishes are green, white, cream or grey, or a light or dark wood effect. As the platform is always on show, pick the one that sits best with the paving around it.

Measuring for a walkable cover

A platform people walk on has to fit precisely, so the Vega Slide 2.0 is always quoted to measure. It reaches up to 12 m in length and up to 5.63 m in width depending on configuration, and we confirm what your pool needs on a visit with our installation partner.
