Some owners want the pool covered and safe but do not want a tall structure in the middle of the terrace. The Velsa Flat answers that: the panels stand 20 cm high as standard, so the garden view and the line of the terrace stay as they were.
It works well for homes with children or pets, and for any pool where a discreet finish matters more than headroom.
The panels move on one sliding guide, a design Cupoola developed and builds itself. A single guide means less risk of the panels going out of line as they open, and the fixing screws stay hidden. The guide can sit in the larger or the smaller panel, which lets you choose the opening direction to suit your terrace or the way you reach the pool.
The rail is only 15 mm high, so you step over it without thinking. The enclosure complies with the French NFP 90-309 standard, the only regulation currently in force for this kind of cover. Every access point and mechanism needs a double action to open, which stops a child getting in by accident, and the doors close with a key lock and an operable handle.
Because the enclosure sits at floor level, its colour becomes part of the terrace. You can choose a plain colour (green, white, cream or grey) to match the paving or coping, or a light or dark wood effect for a warmer look.
The roof comes in compact or cellular polycarbonate. Panels are up to 2.19 m long, the larger panel spans pools up to 6 m wide, and the smaller panel can be raised to 50 cm if you need more clearance underneath. A sliding door on the larger panel is available as an option.
